Hypnosis via Video Conferencing/Skype!

I now offer a really cool service--video hypnosis sessions!  I have now done quite a few hypnosis sessions over Skype (http://www.skype.com/, a free video service made famous by Oprah).  I’m finding that the results are similar as if the client was in my office.  I had to rearrange my technique a bit to accommodate not seeing all of the person, not being able to tap, drop an arm, or touch the client.  But it's going well.

I have also dropped my rates.  For Skype sessions I am only charging $50/session now for a limited time (pay through PayPal.).  I now require at least two sessions for all situations.  Included in the first session:

·        Adjust and test the client’s audio and visual features of the computer/internet

·        Obtain basic client information on an intake form

·        Consult on where client is at today and what client is wanting to accomplish

·        Gauge how the client responds to hypnosis

·        Set the client up to drop into hypnosis quickly, easily the next time 

·        Give the client a choice of either a confidence builder or a stress relief hypnosis session

Then, subsequent sessions are to bring the results wanted.  Most people get better with practice, and the second session generally has better results than the first, anyway.

The process is like going to a new dentist.  (Sorry for my analogy…I just had a few dentist appointments.)  The receptionist takes your basic information, the assistant takes x-rays of your mouth to see what needs to be done.  The dentist comes in and discusses/evaluates the situation, determining a course of action.  He then sets up a second, third, fourth appointment to get the results wanted. 

Well, I’ve been trying to do too much with hypnosis, expecting complete results with just one session.  With the less cost per session, I can relax a bit knowing my fees are reasonable enough to make sure the client is fully, deeply into hypnosis and is responding properly before we get to the meat of the work to be done.  AND, it’s much more pleasant than going to the dentist!
