What a focused, constant 3 months it has been. I put aside extracurricular activities to remodel my house (see Norman the poodle...) Every weekend I was flooring, painting, or managing workers. I didn't leave town for 3 months. Today was the day of completion. The guys doing the baseboards finished up today and the house looks fabulous. I tell you, baseboards really class the place up. On top of my new hardwood-looking flooring, and below new wall paint (some rooms), I finally have the house I want. I love, love, love my home. I love the cleanliness of it.
The wind has been relentless the last month. It has been a challenge to stay warm when the wind blows, as there have been a whole lot of holes in the house where the wind gets in. Today, the wind is still blowing and I can say that this house has never been warmer during a wind storm.
I'm looking forward to no workers for a while--and my personal freedom. And now that my house is back in order, I can mentally rest a bit more. Oh yeah, it's spring. Time to start working outside...ah, the journey of life.
